The Pilkington Profilit™ U-profile glass system was installed extensively ,over a total of 850 m², throughout this residential development (5 units) in East Acton, West London. The Pilkington installations act as a protective glass shield from the noise and pollution produced by the busy motorway and create harmonious communal resident areas.

 

To allow for maximum levels of natural light inside each of the 5 sheltered communal areas, the system was installed at 13° from vertical on the ‘butterfly canopy. The single glazed canopy was constructed using overlapping glass panels with customized framing and top-hat brackets.
