Glass Types:
SP26 Cast Unwired
The Pilkington Profilit™ U-profile glass system was installed in front of concrete walls, proving an ideal material for this project, combining style with functionality. The glass was installed double-glazed, reinforcing the importance of the acoustic performance of the building and unwired glass was used as an aesthetic requirement. Technical support was provided by the Reglit Glass Design team in order to integrate window framings with the glass panels, and delicate attention to detail was required throughout this project as the acoustic performance of the building was essential to its future success.

“The Watford Music Centre stands in the grounds of a listed Grammar School. The Reglit cladding helps provide a soundproof envelope which sits gently in the landscape and responds to the changing light”. - Tim Ronalds Architects
