In this project, the Pilkington Profilit™ U-profile glass system’s framing layout has an elongated ‘S’ shape. It was constructed from radii sections of aluminium framing joined to give a smooth continuous sweep to the screens. The internal faces of the inner layers of the double glazed elevation were sandblasted to ensure students’ privacy from the close by existing building while enabling maximum natural light into the flats.
