Physical Properties
The system offers outstanding performance in high light permeability, exceptional sound and heat insulation.
The incorporation of the Reglit ® system is ideal to transmit the maximum amount of daylight, without compromising the thermal, acoustic or weathering performance of the external skin.Solar Control
Special coating Pilkington Profilit ™Antisol considerably reduces the heat transmission through the glass:
- Reflects a high percentage of infrared radiation.
- Reduces damaging UV radiation allowing light sensitive products to be stored within the building.
- Efficient level of solar control within the glazed areas of the building.
- Reduction of 62% in heat transmission when coating used in both layers of double glazed installation.
Optical
- Pilkington Profilit ™ light transmission levels: 69 to 85% (depending on single or double glazing).
- Pilkington Profilit ™Clear: level of vision increased through the system whilst not quite producing the same level of transparency as float glass.
Thermal Insulation
Pilkington Profilit ™ thermal insulation values:
- 2.8W/m²k for double-glazed normal profile system (NP).
- 2.7W/m²k for special profile system (SP).
- 1.8W/m²k with a thermally broken aluminium framing and one layer of the specially coated glass type Pilkington Profilit ™Plus*.
Acoustic
- Sound insulation level: up to 41 dB when double-glazed.
