KINGS COLLEGE

The Centre for Cell & Integrative Biology (CCIB), part of a joint endeavour between the King’s Medical School and the Institute of Psychiatry, is a major new focal point for research excellence. Located on the Denmark Hill campus in South London, the new building comprises laboratory and office space for 180 scientists and research facilities.

The glass-wrapped modern-look CCIB building has been designed by nbbj architects with a view to provide bright working space. We worked with English Architectural Glazing (EAG), appointed by main contractor Walter Lilly Construction, to provide a complete bespoke envelope cladding to the building.

The use of Moniflex insulation in combination with the Profilit™ SP26 Cast wired sandblasted glass has made an effective and striking contribution to the completion of the external façade.
