Local Project
The construction of the New Regional Indoor Training Centre for Culture and Sport Glasgow, in our neighbouring area of Toryglen, gave us a great opportunity to participate in the development of our local community.
The state-of-the-art facility will be Scotland’s first full-size indoor football pitch. Thousands of school children will have access to the centre and the facility will be widely used by both the local community and the professionals alike.
Reglit Glass Architecture has been providing much of the exterior envelope for the building, and the results are more than impressive.

Insulation
For the Toryglen project, our client specified increased insulation properties for the new structure, and here at Reglit we managed to meet that request.
The versatility of ProfilitTM glass means that we are able to develop and individualise our product. We can offer our clients a wide variety of choice and, with their input, we can develop the product accordingly to meet their specifications.
Working closely with a company called Okalux, we created a solution that integrates their Okapane, a light diffusing insulating material, between our U-profiled glass panels.
- It is made of fine, honeycombed acrylic tubes and fibre glass tissue.
- It utilises natural light and significantly reduces heat loss (U Value).
- It ensures optimum and even light emission.
- It is a non-fading material and provides excellent thermal insulation.
